Snowbirds

Dreary grey skies and freezing wind left them daydreaming of sun-drenched days, and soft white sand sifting through their toes. The perfect place for a winter vacation.

Carry-on in hand, elderly seasonal residents escape the frigid cold of the north east coast and fly south to their estates and resorts on the beaches of Boca Raton, Florida. Surrounded by palm trees, endless grass and crystal blue waters they call themselves "Snowbirds".

During this winter "migration", their days are spent lying out on sun soaked beaches, golfing at private courses and lounging poolside after water aerobics.
